The summary:  Today is the last day to file your tax returns and several businesses are offering last minute tax minute advice and tips to filers.

The reaction:  This article really does a good job of highlighting what you need to do if you’ve come down to the wire.  It includes everything from how to get your return filed correctly today, what to do if you don’t think you’ll get it done today and what to do if you’re struggling to come up with the money to pay your tax bill.

The best advice?  Don’t hide.  Contact the IRS as soon as possible if you think you might run into any one of these situations.

The summary:  Many businesses are offering free stuff today, April 18th, the final day you have to file your tax returns.

The reaction:  We highlighted a list of Tax Day free stuff last week (which can be found here) and today we find another list of additional free stuff that can be had today – the final day to file your tax returns for 2010.

Chili’s, Hooters and Papa John’s all sound like winning offers to me!

Where to get free stuff on Tax Day

The headline:  Tax Day freebies lure with come-ons but push for spending

The summary:  Several companies are offering free stuff this coming Monday, April 18th, the final day you have to file your tax returns.

The reaction:  Seems kind of like a random hodgepodge to me.  Few things actually seem to be free on the list but there are a number of discounts.

Cinnabon, Arby’s and PF Chang’s all sound good.  Not sure I’ll need the free photocopies from Office Depot though.
