Japan nuclear plant continues to leak dangerous amounts of radiation

The headline:  Radioactive leak at plant reduced, utility says

The summary:  The Tokyo Electric Power Company which runs the damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant failed in its attempt to plug the leak of highly radioactive water into the ocean although the leak is slower than it was previously.

The reaction:  This story continues to be a sad reminder of the devastation in Japan right now.  The Tokyo Electric Power Company didn’t ask for this but it is their plant that continues to leak radiation into the atmosphere and into the water.

Reps continue to say that they hope there will be minimal effect to life right around the plant (although fishing has been forbidden for a several mile radius around the plant).  I have a bad feeling that in the near future we may find out that won’t be the case.
