House passes 1 week budget stopgap but will Obama sign it?

The headline:  Budget talks languish, shutdown looms

The summary:  The House passed a bill largely along party lines that would provide a one week extension on the budget deadline on the condition of $12 billion in budget cuts.  President Obama has already threatened to veto it.

The reaction:  Now, it looks like it’s getting a little ugly.  Obama is getting frustrated.  Boehner says that they’re backstepping.  Reid says he thinks a shutdown is likely.

I continue to think that a stop gap will get done but my conviction is starting to lessen.
