“Human error” gives Prosser lead in Wisconsin Supreme Court race

The headline:  Wis. corrects vote count, gives incumbent big lead

The summary:  14,000 votes that weren’t counted due to “human error” have resulted in a big lead for incumbent David Prosser over challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg in the hotly contested Wisconsin Supreme Court race.

The reaction:  How in the world does this happen?  How do 14,000 votes just not get counted?

If this result sticks, it’s a win for Scott Walker.  Democrats will undoubtedly be calling for heads after this news.  This is starting to have a Bush-Gore Florida vote kind of feel to it.
