Poll: Trump currently in 2nd place behind Romney among Republicans

The headline:  Poll surprise finds Trump No. 2 among Republicans

The summary:  A Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll found that Donald Trump currently sits in 2nd place among Republicans at 17%.  That has him tied with Mike Huckabee and behind Mitt Romney at 21%.

The reaction:  I can’t for the life of me understand why so many people think he’d be an appropriate choice for the leader of the free world.  He’s all TV personality and ego as far as I can see.

If he really wants to make a run at the presidency, he better start addressing some real foreign and domestic policy issues and stop hitting the gas so hard on where Barack Obama was born.  Unless he can provide Obama’s actual birthplace saying he was born in Kenya, he’s not going to win this battle and will ultimately come off as nothing more than whiney.

I saw that and commented that half the Republican Party must be brain dead. Like you said, I have not heard him comment on any actual governing issues. I did hear him say last night that he would have only gone into Libya in exchange for their oil. Without the oil, he would have let the slaughter continue. He just thinks of everything in MONEY terms. What a joke. The GOP Field of Presidential candidates is turning out to be worthy of a Circus sideshow.
