Tornadoes in Iowa leave long road to recovery

The headline:  Sheriff: Tornado causes ‘major devastation’ but no deaths in Iowa city

The summary:  Tornados that ripped through Iowa and parts of the midwest over the weekend have not resulted in any deaths but have caused millions of dollars in damage.

The reaction:  For those that were able to enjoy the warm weather in the midwest but avoid the storms probably thought it was a great weekend.  But large parts of Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Michigan were not spared.  Sunday was marked by tornadoes, strong storms, hail and high winds that left many communities cleaning up and assessing damage.

The good news coming out of this is that no one was killed.  Homes and buildings can be rebuilt but people can not be replaced.
