Nation nearing $4 per gallon gas price average

The headline:  $4 gas is coming to your state

The summary:  Illinois joins Hawaii, Alaska and California as states that now have an average gas price of $4 or more.

The reaction:  Gas prices on a national average continue to approach record highs of above $4 a gallon.  It seems like such a long time ago (about two years ago to be exact) that gas prices on the average hit about $1.60.

We’re coming into the summer travel season so I wouldn’t count on these types of prices going down any time soon.  High demand along with supply issues in Middle Eastern nations means you’d better get used to seeing $4 at the pump.
