Tim Pawlenty unofficially enters 2012 presidential race

The headline:  Pawlenty: ‘I’m running for president’

The summary:  Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty has announced his intention to run for president in 2012.

The reaction:  Tim Pawlenty was once a hot name in political circles when it came to running for president.  That was before names like Sarah Palin and Donald Trump took over the Republican presidential ring.  Pawlenty is currently barely registering on the radar and in the polls (he’s at 2% support in one poll) so his road to the White House could be a long one.

Although this wasn’t an official announcement, it’s widely expected that he’ll make it official within the next week or so.
