Police block Easter church service in Bejing

The headline:  Church: Police block Beijing Easter service

The link:  http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapcf/04/24/china.easter.crackdown/index.html?hpt=T2

The summary:  Police have reportedly prevented an Easter service from taking place at the Shouwang Church in Bejing, China.

The reaction:  This story is a good reminder that the freedoms we enjoy in the United States aren’t free everywhere.

The fact that churchgoers have been arrested and detained at their homes shows that the Chinese government isn’t really big on freedom of religion (or a lot of freedoms for that matter).  Enjoy your Easter today and be thankful for everything you have!
