No tweeting allowed during the royal wedding

The headline:  No tweets allowed from Westminster Abbey

The link:  http://royalwedding.yahoo.com/blogs/no-tweets-allowed-from-westminster-abbey-6895

The summary:  Signal blocking technology will be installed at Westminster Abbey to assure that there will be no cell phone interruptions during the ceremony.  The block will also prevent Twitter and Facebook updates from the royal wedding.

The reaction:  The royal family obviously wants to take no chances that any kind of embarrassing mishap will ruin what they want to be a perfect event.

The monarchy doesn’t want anything leaking out before it should and doesn’t want any potentially unflattering images making their way online.  It’s understandable I suppose considering the volume of people that are expected to tune in.
