The summary:  Brad Womack and Emily Maynard, the couple from the most recent season of “The Bachelor”, have announced that they are ending their short engagement.

The reaction:  It would be more of a surprise if this type of announcement didn’t come out.  That would be because #1 The Bachelor/Bachelorette is now, what, 1 for 100 in getting its final couple to actually walk down the aisle and #2 Brad was one of the least likeable bachelors they’ve ever put on the show (and that’s saying something).

I know The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are fun for entertainment and water cooler gossip.  Just don’t expect any real relationship to be spawned from this show.
