Attempted hijaking of Alitalia flight thwarted by flight attendants

The summary:  Flight attendants are being credited with detaining a passenger aboard an Alitalia flight from Paris to Rome after he pulled out a knife and demanded the flight be rerouted to Tripoli, Libya.

The reaction:  Hats off to the flight attendants for their quick thinking and ability to apprehend the suspect!

I’m not sure exactly why this guy thought his little plan to hijack and divert a commercial airliner would be successful but I doubt he was playing with a full deck to begin with.  Few details are available right now but thankfully no one here was hurt.
