The summary:  Pro wrestler Chris Jericho became the latest celebrity voted off of Dancing With The Stars leaving this season’s field with just six dancers remaining.

The reaction:  Of course the guy wonders if it’s real.  Because he doesn’t know how to let it go.

Plus, I’m not sure what he’s taking credit for.  That he irritated Obama enough to make him request his birth certificate?  Mission accomplished.  Trump’s ego is so massive I can’t imagine why anybody would think this guy should be president.

The summary:  President Barack Obama, in response to numerous doubters of his original place of birth – namely Donald Trump, will release the original copy of his birth certificate later today.

The reaction:  Obama said that he hadn’t planned on requesting or releasing his original birth certificate because it was a non-issue (and it still is).  Now, he’s changing his mind to shut up one person in particular – Donald Trump.

Trump is getting exactly what he wanted so hopefully this will shut him up once and for all (although I doubt it will).  Trump’s behavior and allegations over the whole birther issue have been nothing short of embarrassing for him and the release of the Obama birth certificate will be another blow to his already fragile credibility.

The summary:  In an interview with Anderson Cooper (among others), Donald Trump continues to refuse to provide any details of his team’s investigation into Barack Obama’s birth certificate.

The reaction:  It’s tough to provide details when you don’t have a shred of evidence.  Trump is obviously painted into a corner and is caught in his own web of allegations.  And he gets irritated when anybody asks for details.

Here are some of Trump’s responses after initially saying that his investigators “can not believe what they are finding”.

Have your investigators found anything?  “I will let you know that at a future date.”

What are they finding?  “We’ll see what happens.”

What have they found?  “It’s none of your business right now.”

What have your investigators found?  “Well, I don’t want to say right now.”

Can you name one person your investigators have talked to?  “I don’t want to do that right now.”

Who did you hear that from?  “I just heard that two days ago from somebody.  I don’t want to say who.”

CNN report confirms that Obama was born in Hawaii

The summary:  Using interviews with eyewitnesses as well as its own research, a CNN investigation has confirmed that President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii.

The reaction:  Despite the continued overwhelming evidence that Obama was born in Hawaii and is indeed a United States citizen, it floors me that one quarter of the population still believes that Obama was born outside the U.S.

I hope this report will help put the whole birther issue to rest but for Donald Trump and the rest of his non-believers I don’t think this will ever end.

The summary:  A CBS News poll indicates that a quarter of Americans believe that President Barack Obama was not born in the United States.

The reaction:  I have absolutely no idea why so many people think that Obama is not a U.S. citizen.

The evidence is overwhelmingly in his favor and many Republicans have admitted that it’s time to move on from this issue (although some people can’t seem to let it go).  Until anyone can provide some solid evidence that he was not born in the U.S. this case should be closed.
