The summary: Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams is suing his ex-girlfriend, Miss Texas 2009 Brooke Daniels, for a $76,000 engagement ring he gave her prior to the end of the relationship.
The reaction: I love this story! Instead of getting down on one knee, Williams sent Daniels a package in the mail that included the ring and a recorded message asking her to marry him. What a Romeo!
Williams is a notoriously cheap guy (he reportedly doesn’t tip pizza delivery guys) but wanting a $76,000 engagement ring is at least a little more understandable.
Octomom says that she doesn’t hate her kids

The summary: Octomom Nadya Suleman has followed up on her recent In Touch Weekly interview saying that she does not hate her children and that her comments in the interview were “fabricated”.
The reaction: She sounds all warm and glowing now but I think that’s a result of the backlash of her interview comments as opposed to anything that was “fabricated”.
I believe the comments made in the interview were indeed hers and probably said in the heat of the moment but now that things have cooled a bit (or she’s realizing that she’s getting a lot of backlash from what she said) she’s become a bit more positive. Like I said before, she’s got a lot of issues to work through and I hope she gets the help she needs.
“To Catch A Predator” host Chris Hansen caught cheating on his wife on hidden camera

The summary: Chris Hansen, the host of NBC’s “To Catch A Predator” has been caught cheating on his wife by using a hidden camera.
The reaction: Well, isn’t this the ultimate irony? It would only have been more ironic if the girl he was cheating on his wife with was about 12 years old.
Hansen of anybody should know that someone’s always around with a hidden camera ready to bust you. I’m guessing we won’t be seeing too many “To Catch A Predator” specials in the near future!
Octomom on her kids: “I wish I had not had them”

The summary: Octomom Nadya Suleman in a new interview with In Touch Weekly said that her octuplets “disgust” her and wishes that she had not had them, that her six older children are “animals” and that she has contemplated suicide.
The reaction: It should come as no surprise that a single mom with limited financial means has trouble raising 14 children.
The suicide part surprised me a little bit. She seemed so over-the-top excited to have more kids that it’s at least a little surprising that she’s done a complete 180. She’s supposedly headed back to TV soon so maybe that’ll help by about 2% but she’s got a lot of issues to work through.
Harrison Ford calls Shia LeBeouf a “f***ing idiot”

The summary: Harrison Ford called his “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” co-star Shia LeBeouf a “f***ing idiot” after LeBeouf stated that he was disappointed with how the movie turned out.
The reaction: Ford is certainly entitled to his opinion but I can’t really see what LeBeouf did wrong here.
He simply said that he didn’t feel that he was able to make the movie live up to the legacy of the others the way he would have liked to. He’s just being honest and I give him credit for being able to look at his own work with a critical eye. Ford was upset because he felt he “turned” on the movie. I think LeBeouf was just being honest. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.
Tracy Morgan follows up homophobic comments with remarks about “retarded kids”

The summary: Tracy Morgan is being criticized for jokes he made about “retarded kids” recently. This follows Morgan’s highly criticized comments he made saying that he’d kill his son if he were gay.
The reaction: I’m a Tracy Morgan fan but apparently this guy didn’t learn anything from his first run in.
Morgan claims he was just trying to be funny and meant no offense but he should know better that there are just some things you shouldn’t joke about. Joking about “retarded kids” should be off limits as should saying you’re going to kill your son if he’s gay. It’s not rocket science but I guess some people need a reminder.
Charlie Sheen admits to steroid use during filming of Major League

The summary: Charlie Sheen reveals in a recent Sports Illustrated interview that he did steroids for “six or eight weeks” to prepare for his role in the baseball movie Major League.
The reaction: Did anybody tell him that it wasn’t real baseball?
In light of everything that’s happened to Sheen in the last six months I suppose this isn’t at all surprising. The fact that he took steroids indicates that he took his role as Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn just a bit too seriously. I understand wanting your fastball to look good but that’s what the Hollywood cameras are for. Besides, you’re a PRETEND pitcher!
CBS pulls the plug on Katie Couric talk show

The summary: CBS has reportedly pulled its offer to produce a Katie Couric talk show after announcing that she’ll step down from the anchor desk of the CBS Evening News.
The reaction: CBS claims that the negotiation went on way too long and now it looks as if Couric could bolt to ABC for her show.
This has to be considered a big loss for CBS as a syndicated daytime talk show could have been a ratings gold mine especially in light of Oprah Winfrey wrapping up her show.
Is Britney Spears engaged?

The summary: Britney Spears showed up at a public event recently sporting what appears to be an engagement ring.
The reaction: Who knows what this really means. Spears has a history of less than normal behavior so maybe she just won a ring at a Chuck E. Cheese and decided to put it on her left ring finger.
I imagine we’ll hear whether or not an engagement is in Spears’ future sometime soon but I’m guessing this is a false alarm.
Kendra Wilkinson the latest castoff on Dancing With The Stars

The summary: Kendra Wilkinson became the latest to be voted off of Dancing With The Stars leaving just five dancers remaining.
The reaction: That leaves Hines Ward, Ralph Macchio, Kirstie Alley, Chelsea Kane and Romeo. How Kirstie Alley has survived this long remains a mystery to me.
